8/4/2010 // Thank you for your support!
Let me start by saying thank you for your support! It is an
honor and a privilege to be the Republican nominee for the
Michigan House of Representatives.
My nomination is the result of a passionate and concerned group
of local citizens who have demanded a better future for their
children and grandchildren. I am happy to stand up to that
challenge and fight for the tools that Northern Michigan needs
to succeed.
I’d also like to thank my family, my parents, and my campaign
staff for their devotion and perseverance these past many
months. But above all, I’d like to thank the thousands of
Northern Michigan’ families for their support of my campaign and
my message. This is their campaign, and this is their victory.
It is time to come together and demand the return of
conservative values, common sense solutions, and real change in
Michigan. We have a long three months ahead of us. The Democrats
will not give up this seat easily, and they will fight hard to
maintain the status quo which has failed our district.
Together, we can make a difference. We can win on November 2nd,
and through that victory we can send a message that we have had
enough of the status quo. Michigan is ready for a fresh
perspective and a new direction. Together, we can get Michigan
back to work.

officials all across this district.

call every home, and attend every event I can in order to meet
the people of this district and understand their concerns,
frustrations, and hopes for MIchigan's future.

6/14/2010 // Frank releases his Five Step Plan
Frank Foster today released his "Five Step Plan to Fix
Michigan", a comprehensive list of proposals and solutions for
Michigan moving forward in the 21st century. Frank is the only
candidate in the 107th house seat who has offered a detailed
plan about what needs to happen in order for Northern Michigan
to succeed and once again become a top 10 state in job creation
and economic growth.
"This Five Step Plan is a simple way for me to talk to my
constituents in an organized, detailed manner about what my
priorities are for Northern Michigan," Foster said. "We can no
longer continue down the path of irresponsible partisan
politics. It is time to implement common sense solutions so that
we can stimulate our local economy, get government out the way,
and really focus on creating jobs and taking care of our
citizens."
For more information, visitors can download the plan by
navigating to the "On the Issues" page in the menu. Additional
questions or requests for more detailed information on any of
the proposals and issue stances included can be sent to the
campaign via the contact page.
6/6/2010 // Join us this Friday for my campaign kickoff!
You are invited to join me this Friday, June 11th, for our
campaign kickoff pig roast at Foster's Pond in Petoskey. Tickets
are only $20 for the whole family, and we will be having food
and refreshments, volleyball, swimming, and other activities
from 4-8pm.
We will also have a brief informational period where I will be
talking about my campaign and my plans for Northern Michigan,
and taking questions from attendees. This will be a great
opportunity to hear about and respond to the concerns of
Northern Michigan's residents.
Please consider joining me, my family, my campaign, special host
Senator Jason Allen, and our many attendees this Friday at 2155
Greenwood Church Rd, which is about 2-3 minutes south/east of
downtown Petoskey. For more information, please feel free to
contact my campaign by clicking the "Contact Frank" button on
the top of the page.
5/14/10 // Join us at our volunteer seminar!
This Tuesday, May 18th, please join me at our new campaign
office as we welcome David Avella, the Director of GOPAC, who
will be hosting our volunteer kickoff seminar. Mr. Avela is a
seasoned campaign expert who has worked at the gubernatorial,
congressional, and local leve, and has appeared on talk shows
such as "FOX and Friends", "Hannity", "America's Newsroom", and
MSNBC.
Under his direction, GOPAC has continued to be the largest
national grassroots network for Republican's and conservatives
in America, and on Tuesday, he will be bringing his experience
and his wisdom to help our volunteers and precinct captains
elect a conservative Republican back to the 107th district!
Our seminar starts on 9am, lasting approximately an hour, and is
located at our new campaign headquarters at 6 Pennsylvania
Plaza, in Petoskey, MI. Light snacks and refreshments will be
provided.
Following the seminar, we will be officially opening up our
phone banks for volunteers to start the effort to win on August
3rd and November 2nd, and get Michigan back to work!

campaign by visiting the contact page of the website.
4/26/10 // Frank Foster Announcement Tour
Friends,
I am proud to today officially file my candidacy with the state
of Michigan, and announce my intent to be your next
representative for the 107th House district. We have been hard
at work for over six months now, and the next six may determine
the direction that Northern Michigan takes moving forward.
People in Northern Michigan are struggling, and instead of our
government being part of the solution, they’ve been part of the
problem. We need to take a common sense approach to how we can
create a tax structure and regulatory environment that will
stimulate growth, and make sure that our families can afford to
put food on their tables, pay their mortgages, and send their
kids to college.
I’m not a politician; I’m a business manager for my family’s
construction company. I don’t believe that the solutions for
this state are complicated. If our state could provide the same
mentality of service and leadership as every successful small
business in my district, we’d be in much better shape.
Along with my announcement today, I have also released a partial
endorsement list of people who have supported my campaign. You
can view it on the “About Frank’ section of my web site.
As we continue to campaign, I need your help. Please consider
signing up for my newsletter, volunteering to donate your time,
and contributing to my campaign.
I am starting my announcement tour at 8:15am on 1270 AM with
Greg Marshall, and following the initial announcement with
interviews with Vic McCarty (1270 AM) and Tom Ewing (WSOO). I will also be making
campaign stops in Petoskey, Indian River, Mackinaw City, St. Ignace, Cedarville, Pickford, Brimley, Sault Ste. Marie, and
Trout Lake throughout the day.
Thank you again for your support, and I look forward to
hopefully seeing you throughout the day and the coming months!

campaign to represent Michigan's 107th district!

11/20/09 // Help me raise $40,000 in
40 days!
Friends,
I need your help! I am launching a
fundraising campaign to help supplement the costs of traveling
across one of Michigan’s largest house districts to raise
$40,000 in 40 days to help meet our January 1st fundraising
goals.
Your small donation will help fuel a trip
to knock doors in Sault Ste. Marie, visit township leaders in
Cedarville, meet with small business owners in Petoskey, print
out flyers for constituents in Curtis and everything in between.
The high standards I’ve set for myself
reflect my commitment to create jobs, foster growth in our
communities and bring more tourism to Northern Michigan. Your
investment will help fund a campaign to bring decisive
leadership to Lansing and dedicated representation to the 107th
district.
But I can’t do this alone. To donate, and
help me get Michigan back to work, you can go to
http://donate.fosterforhouse.com or visit my Web site and select
the “Donate” tab from the menu bar.

10/15/09 // Radio
interview on AM 1400 in Sault Ste. Marie
Listen to my
interview from Thursday, Oct. 15th with Scott Nason and Paul
VanWagoner on AM 1400 in Sault Ste. Marie! The discussion
included Michigan's budget situation, campaign updates and fuzzy
dice.

10/10/09 // October fundraiser is a great success!
First and
foremost I would like to thank those of you in attendance for
our Oct. 7th event at Lorenzo's in Harbor Springs, Mich. Those
in attendance enjoyed the smooth styling of Dr. Good Hart's Home
Remedy in addition to savory catering (including some excellent
perch!) by Mike and Linda McElroy.
Everyone was very supportive and seemed receptive to my ideas to
re-invent Michigan. Our Legislature is not doing enough to help
small business owners or bring new business to Michigan. People
are continuing to lose their jobs while our state essentially
sits on its hands, this at a time when we need our
representatives rolling up their sleeves and getting to work.
The day of the event I was given the opportunity to be part of
a radio interview on AM 1270 in Petoskey with Greg Marshall.
Immediately following our conversation, current 107th
Representative Gary McDowell was on the air and went on record
admitting there is no leadership in Lansing. At the event, host
Larry Beck agreed when I said we need strong leadership, and
that leadership should not be a partisan value.
“I’m a strong proponent of the free enterprise system and also
the two party system, I think it’s very important we have
strength in both parties," Beck said. "It’s nice when a young
fella like Frank comes along and makes a commitment to be part
of this.”

// Media round up
Friends,
Last week I had the privilege of going on live radio and
participating in interviews on Talk Radio 1400 AM in Sault Ste.
Marie with Paul VanWagoner and Scott Nason and also on 1270 AM
Petoskey with Greg Marshall. The student-run paper at my alma
mater, Grand Valley State University, also published a news
story on my campaign for the Michigan House of
Representatives. Below I've listed links, enjoy!

09/08/09 // We've already hit 2,000 doors... have we
hit yours yet?
As fall
approaches, my campaign to get Michigan back to work is in full
swing! As Michigan’s unemployment continues to rise and our
citizens are struggling, we need true leadership that is willing
to make bold decisions. As your representative, I am ready to
make those decisions to help lead our district in a positive
direction for Michigan’s families. As a community we will shape
our future as we come together to put Michigan back to work.
That is why my
campaign has already knocked on over 1,000 doors in the 107thdistrict!
We want to know your thoughts, concerns, and questions so that I
can fight for the causes that this district truly believes in as
a member of Michigan’s House of Representatives!
If we haven’t
reached your door yet, don’t worry, because there is still
plenty of time until November 2010. We would love to hear your
thoughts and concerns. Visit the contact page on our website or
email us to share your thoughts about Northern Michigan’s
future.

07/15/09 // Update from the campaign trail
Dear friend,
July 4th (and the parades that come with it!) has come and gone,
and the second half of the summer is upon us. It has been an
amazing privilege to travel the district talking to people like
you and listening to their concerns. This certainly is a trying
time for the citizens of this great state. Everyone's story
seems to have a similar tone: Michigan is losing jobs, revenue,
and people, and we need true leadership to help us move in a
positive direction.
Your concerns have not gone unheard these past months. Every
day, I feel more prepared to represent what you need in Lansing.
We are real people with real concerns and real problems; we need
to stop offering marginal solutions and circular rhetoric.
Instead, we need to start creating the change that Michigan
needs! I am confident that, with you on my team, I can bring
Northern Michigan’s concerns to Lansing and offer real-life
solutions.
My main goal the next few months is going to be the same as the
last few: I want to meet as many people as possible so that when
I say I want to represent you, I know what you need. If we
haven’t met yet, I look forward to hopefully doing so soon!
